HOURS: Full Time/40 Hours
RESPONSIBILITIES: Clinical Counselor III works independently in a dynamic clinical setting providing a variety of counseling, rehabilitation, and support services. The clinician works with children, adolescents, adults, or families who are experiencing behavioral health concerns. The main duties include: Completing face to face initial assessments to determine medical necessity for treatment, conducting face-to-face individual psychotherapy sessions or therapeutic groups, developing individualized treatment plans by conferring with the person being served and other essential individuals to promote optimum mental and emotional health. Counselors work toward increasing a person’s capacity to live independently by facilitating and coordinating with other service providers and natural community supports. Duties may require involvement in community outreach and advocacy. QUALIFICATIONS: Licensed Clinical Social Worker with at least 5 years of experience in mental health setting and some experience with clinical supervision. Preferred certification or extensive training in at least 3 or more approaches. Must have a valid driver’s license. Use of personal vehicle may be necessary.

Clinical Counselor/Trauma Systems Therapy Coordinator


HOURS: Full Time/40 Hours

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Clinical mental health counselors work in a dynamic clinical setting providing a variety of counseling, rehabilitation, and support services. The clinician works with children, adolescents, adults, or families who are experiencing behavioral health concerns.

The main duties include: Completing face to face initial assessments to determine medical necessity for treatment, conducting face-to-face individual psychotherapy sessions or therapeutic groups, developing individualized treatment plans by conferring with the person being served and other essential individuals to promote optimum mental and emotional health. Counselors work toward increasing a person’s capacity to live independently by facilitating and coordinating with other service providers and natural community supports. Duties may require involvement in community outreach and advocacy. Responsible for coordinating a multidisciplinary team in the implementation of Trauma Systems Therapy. Facilitate the development of alliances between child and family-serving systems including, but not limited to, child welfare, mental health, education, and others. Will field incoming referrals, complete intake assessments, moment by moment assessments and present findings to the TST Team for recommendations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work or related counseling field that leads to licensure in NYS. Applicant may be a new graduate with a master’s degree with understanding of mental health counseling. All candidates must have experience working with children and families, with a strong emphasis on assessing and treating trauma. Must have a valid driver’s license. Use of personal vehicle may be necessary.

Clinical Supervisor II


HOURS:

Full-time – 40 hours

(hours will be discussed during interview)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Will be responsible for working with children, adolescents, adults, or families who are experiencing behavioral health concerns. Develop individualized treatment plans and work toward increasing a person’s capacity to live independently. Complete initial assessments and determine treatment and complete psychotherapy sessions, walk in crisis sessions, family sessions, or therapeutic groups. Will provide routine orientation and supervision to new employees and will be responsible for providing weekly to bi-weekly supervision to current staff and will complete tasks as assigned by program director.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of Master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work or related counseling field with possession of an active New York State license and at least 3 years of experience. Must have knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of mental health and substance use disorders. Experience in providing clinical supervision is necessary. Preferred certification, extensive training and exposure to 1-3 evidence-based practices through education, work experience and training. Must have strong computer abilities and proficiency with electronic medical records. Must have a valid driver’s license.

Leave Accruals


Vacation leave is accrued at the rate of one day per month, to a maximum accrual of 24 days.Sick leave is accrued at the rate of one day per month, to a maximum accrual of 40 days. Clarity Wellness Community offers employees 9 paid holidays and 3 floating holidays annually. Three personal leave days are accrued on the employee's anniversary date.




Health Insurance


Health insurance to full-time, regular employees. Employees may opt to enroll in a Flex Savings Account with pre-tax payroll deductions. This coverage will become effective the 1st day of the month following 30 days from the employee's full-time start date.




Dental Insurance


Dental plan for employees who work at least 20 hours per week. For those employees who elect to join this plan, premiums are deducted from the employees paycheck on a pre-tax bi-weekly basis. The coverage will become effective the 1st day of the month following 30 days from the employee's full-time start date.

401(k) Retirement Plan sponsored by T. Rowe Price. Full-time or part-time regular Clarity Wellness Community employees, who have reached the age of 21 and have completed a three month period of employment during which 500 hours was worked, are eligible to participate in the 401(k) retirement plan. The employees have the option of making a contribution (salary deferral) of up to 15% of their gross pay (within IRS guidelines). After one year of service, Clarity Wellness Community matches up to 3% at 233% of the employee's gross pay.
